A boat-builder's idea of furniture.
Neptune started in 1996 making hammocks and garden furniture in a shed near Swindon, by two friends who had learned joinery on boats and did not see why a chair should be built any less carefully. The first kitchen followed in 2005, after customers kept asking.
Everything is still designed in Wiltshire and finished in our own workshops. Kitchens are made to order and fitted by our own teams; furniture is delivered by our own drivers and placed in the room.
Two rules have not changed: every piece of furniture is guaranteed for life, and the price is the price all year. There are thirty stores, each laid out as a house rather than a showroom.

Four things we will not change.
A company that guarantees furniture for life has to make it a particular way. These are the four rules the workshops in Wiltshire work to.
Lifetime guarantee
Every piece of furniture, for as long as you own it. If a joint goes or a drawer sticks, we fix it or replace it.
Prices held all year
No sales, no discounts, no waiting for the right week. The price in January is the price in June.
Natural materials
Solid oak, tulipwood and ash; linen and wool; water-based paint. Nothing that pretends to be something else.
Our own workshops
Designed in Swindon, finished by hand in our own workshops, fitted by our own teams. Nobody in between.
